Explanatory Notes Virtual Masterclass – Characterisation and modelling of geological fault zones

On 12 October 2022, the Independent Expert Scientific Committee on Coal Seam Gas and Large Coal Mining Development (IESC) hosted a virtual masterclass on its Explanatory Note: Characterisation and modelling of geological fault zones.

This entertaining masterclass was hosted by IESC members, Associate Professor Phil Hayes and Professor Wendy Timms and supported by Professor Joan Esterle (University of Queensland), who provided their insights into the development and usability of the Explanatory Note through practical guidance and interactive sessions. The masterclass is an informative watch for anyone in the resources or regulatory sector involved in the characterisation and modelling of geological fault zones.
